The Time for Takadimi Workshop explores the concept of rhythm as a spoken language. Participants will build independence in understanding and performing complex rhythms, following the principles of Universal Design of Learning, to ensure no muscian is left behind. Rhythms will be drawn from pre-existing group repertoire wherever possible.
The Clarinet Clinic is designed to diagnose and treat common clarinet ailments. Participants will experiment with embouchure, air support, and articulation, all while receiving thoughtful feedback. Topics of discussion could include gear (such as clarinets, mouthpieces and reeds), tone colour, phrasing, and more.
